Hear about a wibbly wobbly bridge, Christopher Wren's masterpiece, a haunted church and a watchful lady. What streets will you recognise? What buildings will you gasp in recognition at? I will show you what remains, as we walk the circumference of the Roman wall. Bastions, turrets and burial sites. Discover where the Romans entertained themselves; the Amphitheatre, a wondrous discovery in the heart of the city.
Departing from the Tower of London and taking in the historic market of Leadenhall, the seat of governance then, and the Guildhall, seat of governance today. A relaxed, knowledgeable journey back in time.

City River Walk
Historical River Tour
For two millennia, the Thames has been the artery, the lifeblood, of London. The river is the reason this city is here. It holds secrets. It has been at the epicentre of trade, commerce, innovative engineering and empire. It has witnessed fire, plague and invasion. It has seen Kings newly crowned and mayors, newly sworn in. Tragedy of war and celebrations of victories that have befallen and, ultimately, shaped this great metropolis.
Riverside Walk tells the story of this great river. From a Roman settlement to a wibbly wobbly bridge. Lost lanes, ancient wharves, dark houses, stews and fish. Powerful medieval merchant guilds, huge pageants and Jousting knights on a bridge of houses and shops that spanned the Thames for 600 years.
On this walk we will discover and explore the roots of the river, it’s architecture and the major events that shaped, not only it’s embankment, but London and beyond.

On this generic guided tour of the city of London, you will be shown the timeline of the city whilst discovering the iconic architecture, the glorious sculpture, and peaceful gardens.
Hear about the chaotic Cheapside, the organisation of the guilds and livery companies that created the wealth, a king’s wardrobe and a banjo playing barmaid who came to own the last remaining gate into the city. From Roman remains through the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, Stuarts and Victorians with medieval joviality and the sheer terror of the Blitz, too. The city is brought to life with passion and humour.

I can show you around the city, 2000 years of history and the buildings and people that define it. A generic city walk that covers the centuries.

Fire and Plague
The Great Fire of London Tour:
Fire and Plague!
A city ravaged by two apocalyptical events. Walk the City streets and hear the story of the years 1665-1666.

Plague pits and burial grounds are dotted around the city. They are pastures of peace now but were once places of deep sorrow and fear. The Monument, St Magnus, St Paul's Cathedral. The city was incinerated in 1666. Together we explore the cause and the fury of the fire, and meet the characters directly involved in the catastrophe. Walk the course of the fire, taking in the river, Thames Bankside, and some of the most magnificent architecture borne out of a terrible 4 days in September 1666.
